Day 1 — Arrival in Chiang Mai
Welcome to Northern Thailand! We’ll pick you up from Chiang Mai Airport and transfer you to your hotel in the heart of the city. After checking in and setting up your bike, there’s time to relax, explore the old town, or enjoy a coffee nearby.
In the evening, we’ll gather for a welcome dinner where you’ll meet the team and fellow riders. Our local ride leader will walk you through the route, share safety tips for cycling in the region, and offer insights into the culture and terrain you’ll experience over the next few days.

Day 2 — Stage 1: Chiang Mai → Pai
Distance: 128 km | Elevation Gain: 2,230 m
We begin our journey north, riding through peaceful countryside lined with rice paddies and small villages. As the legs warm up, the terrain gradually shifts — and by the 40 km mark, the mountains begin to rise around us.
Today’s route includes three main climbs, each up to 6 km long with steady, manageable gradients that never exceed 10%. At the top, we’re rewarded with sweeping ridge-line views before diving into a fast and technical descent into Pai Valley — a thrilling ride that tests both focus and finesse.
We’ll arrive in Pai by late afternoon — a charming riverside town famed for its relaxed vibe, lush scenery. After checking in, relax by the hotel pool, explore the vibrant walking street, and enjoy the peaceful charm of Pai city.

Day 3 — Stage 2: Pai → Mae Hong Son
Distance: 108 km | Elevation Gain: 2,830 m
Today’s ride is a true test of endurance. After a gentle roll through Pai Valley, we hit the iconic Doi Kiew Lom climb — 15 km at 5.8% — rewarded by sweeping views and a fast, flowing descent.
The challenge continues with a series of steep, punchy climbs, some hitting gradients close to 20%. As we ride deeper into the remote border mountains, the scenery becomes more dramatic and the roads quieter.
We finish in Mae Hong Son, a peaceful town rich with culture, golden pagodas, and wooden temples — the perfect place to unwind after a big mountain day.

Day 4 — Stage 3: Mae Hong Son → Khun Yuam
Distance: 64 km | Elevation Gain: 1,240 m
After two tough days, this lighter stage will be a welcome change. We roll out of Mae Hong Son with temple views and hit the day’s main climb early — a short but punchy 3 km at 7%, ending at a scenic coffee stop with unforgettable views.
From there, we enter the peaceful forests of Namtok Mae Surin National Park, one of Northern Thailand’s most remote corners. With little traffic and shaded roads, it’s a relaxed and scenic ride — though the road surface can be a bit rough.
We finish in the quiet village of Khun Yuam, the perfect spot to rest and recover.

Day 5 — Stage 4: Khun Yuam → Mae Sariang
Distance: 98 km | Elevation Gain: 1,680 m
We begin the second half of the journey, hopefully feeling recharged. While today’s route descends to the lowest point of the trip, the undulating terrain still packs in nearly 1,700 meters of climbing.
Riding south along quiet backroads, we’ll be surrounded by endless forest and little sign of civilization — except for our trusty support car, always nearby with tasty snacks and cold drinks.
The final stretch features a few fast, flowing descents leading into Mae Sariang, a riverside town where we’ll enjoy a hearty local dinner and unwind by the pool with views of the Yuam River.

Day 6 — Stage 5: Mae Sariang → Chom Thong
Distance: 136 km | Elevation Gain: 2,560 m
The day begins with a solid warm-up — a 15 km climb at 5.5% right out of Mae Sariang. From there, we tackle a relentless series of rolling hills for the next 50 km.
At around the halfway point, a long and fast descent takes us into a stunning narrow valley beside Op Luang National Park, a highlight of the ride.
The final stretch flattens out as we head toward Chom Thong, where we’ll rest in a charming hotel nestled at the base of Doi Inthanon — tomorrow’s big climbing challenge.

Day 7 — Stage 6: Inthanon Challenge
Distance: 46 km | Elevation Gain: 2,500 m
Today’s route follows the legendary Inthanon Challenge, Thailand’s toughest and most famous mountain cycling race.
We’ll conquer the mighty Doi Inthanon, the highest peak in Thailand, with steep gradients and relentless elevation that test even the strongest legs. Though it’s the shortest stage, it’s by far the hardest — and one of the most rewarding.
Reaching the summit is a true badge of honor for any cyclist. Take in the sweeping views and celebrate your achievement — you’ve just ridden to the roof of Thailand.
Enjoy a cold beer on the summit if you get the chance to go with a support car.

Day 8 — Departure Day
Enjoy a relaxed morning in Chiang Mai — take a stroll through the old town, enjoy a local café, or, if your legs are still eager, take on one last climb up Doi Suthep.
We’ll assist you with bike cleaning and packing before transferring you to Chiang Mai International Airport. Of course, if you decide to extend your stay in this cycling paradise, we’ll be happy to help you with local tips or arrangements.
Until next ride — safe travels and see you again soon
